Chennai, April 12 -- Newly-appointed Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran on Saturday expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising the BJP and AIADMK, will form the government in the 2026 Assembly elections and said the DMK will be "thrown out".
"Today is a full moon day. On this day, I got this position. I feel proud, and surely, good changes will come in the upcoming elections," Nagendran said.
Commenting on the party's alliance strategy, he said, "Union Home Minister Amit Shah ji announced the AIADMK alliance. Even AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami also announced that we are with NDA. It's a strong alliance and a natural alliance. We will move more strongly in the field."
