Chennai, Dec. 20 -- Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nainar Nagenthran on Saturday said the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has opposed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls from the very beginning because a large number of voters deleted during the exercise belonged to the ruling party.
Speaking to ANI, Nagenthran said,"From the start, DMK opposes SIR. We should consider all these 97 lakh deleted voters as DMK votes. One lakh voters have been deleted in the Kolathur constituency (the CM's constituency), who are DMK voters. All deceased voters have been removed. SIR is a welcome step, and it's unclear why DMK opposes it."
