Srinagar, April 8 -- Bharatiya Janata Party's Kathua Billawar MLA in Jammu and Kashmir, Satish Kumar Sharma hit out at the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Congress, and Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) and the National Conference (NC) for protesting against the Waqf Act recently passed by Parliament, saying that the parties are "making an issue out of something which is neither in their domain nor in their hands."
Earlier, chaos erupted in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, with over 20 MLAs moving a motion to discuss the Waqf Act in the assembly.
Earlier, NC MLA Altaf Kaloo moved an adjournment motion and sought time to speak in the House, but Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather did not respond.
