Haridwar, April 4 -- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke on the passing of Waqf Amendment Bill in both the houses of Parliament and stated that country had wanted this for a long time.

Dhami stated that the land that belonged to Panchayats used to get included in Waqf, however, now the land will come in one criterion due to which a lot of work can be done. The Uttarakhand CM added that there have been several such cases in Uttarakhand as well under which will get probed and will be taking forward the works of public welfare.
