Lucknow, June 15 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said country has become safer under the 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance, adding that nation was witnessing frequent terrorist attacks under the tenure of UPA (2004-2014).
Amit Shah made these remarks at a UP Police recruitment ceremony where more than 60,244 Civil Police Constables received appointment letters.
"Terrorist attacks were frequent in the country.the country has become safer. He noted that Naxalism, which once spread across 11 states, is now confined to just three districts. By March 31, 2026, India will be completely free from Naxalism. During the previous government's tenure, terrorist attacks were frequent in the country," Amit Shah said.
