Jaipur, Sept. 13 -- BJP Rajasthan president Madan Rathore on Saturday downplayed Opposition criticism over the installation of additional CCTV cameras in the state Assembly, saying the practice was routine and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot's objection was misplaced.

Speaking to ANI, Rathore took a jibe at the opposition, saying that they have "lost" their footing.

The BJP State President said, "Congress has lost its base. They do not have any issue to oppose. The first thing is that the Speaker is the guardian of both the ruling party and the opposition. Cameras have been installed since the Vidhan Sabha was built. Cameras sometimes get damaged and are also replaced. All this happens."
