Hyderabad, June 8 -- Congress MLA Adluri Laxman Kumar from Dharmapuri Assembly constituency was sworn in as a cabinet minister in Telangana on Sunday.

Kumar credited his rise to the Congress party, highlighting its commitment to the poor and marginalised. He expressed lifelong gratitude to the top leadership of Congress for entrusting him with the ministerial role.

Adluri Laxman Kumar said, "I am an ordinary Dalit party worker. I worked in the Youth Congress and then became the president at the district level.
