New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Amid the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament, Telangana Congress MPs on Tuesday staged a protest against the Centre, demanding the release of urea for the farmers of the state.

"Telangana Farmers demand full urea supply. The Government of India promised 8.3 lakh metric tons, delivered only 5.3 lakh metric tons! Close the gap, save our Telangana Farmers," read a protest banner held by the MPs.

Hitting out at the Narendra Modi-led government, Congress MP Mallu Ravi warned of farmers in Telangana "coming onto roads" to protest against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the centre if urea was not released.
