Mumbai, Dec. 14 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said that misconceptions about the principles and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had persisted at the national level for decades, but those gaps are now being addressed through changes to the CBSE curriculum.
Speaking at the State Assembly, CM Fadnavis said, "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's principles were accepted in Maharashtra, but there were many misconceptions about them at the national level. In CBSE textbooks, there was only one paragraph about the Maratha Empire, the Hindavi Swarajya. But the history of the Mughals spanned 17 pages. But now this history has changed.
