Jammu, April 7 -- Congress MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone on Monday accused the Centre of "brazenly violating" rule of law, federalism, and secularism over the issue of Waqf Amendment Act, adding that the said act is a violation of the Constitution, democracy, and rule of law.

Sharpening his attacks on the Centre, the Congress MLA stated that they needed to take Muslims in confidence and should have respected their emotions before making and passing the Waqf Amendment Bill.
