New Delhi, April 20 -- Congress MP Manickam Tagore on Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respond to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey's recent comments directed at the Chief Justice of India. He said that the remarks were an attack on the judiciary and an indication that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to change the Constitution of India.
Speaking to ANI, Tagore said, "PM Modi must react to the attack on the Chief Justice of India. Again, the BJP is trying to change the Constitution of India, and the signals are coming from Nishikant Dubey, who is very close to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The words used against the CJI are unacceptable. We hope that the Supreme Court takes suo motu and takes this as a contempt of court."
