New Delhi, April 3 -- Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh called the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2025 "unconstitutional" and said that Babasaheb's Constitution and democracy have been murdered.

"Today, Babasaheb's Constitution and the democracy have been murdered. An unconstitutional bill has been passed with the help of numbers. AAP opposed it. The bill has shocking provisions... We will decide further strategy," Singh said.

The Parliament passed the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 in the early hours of Friday after a marathon and heated debate.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said, "Ayes 128 and Noes 95, Absent zero. The Bill is passed."
