New Delhi, Jan. 26 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena, in his Republic Day message, referred to the Delhi Assembly elections and pointed out that attempts have been made at a global level to influence elections through social media and media.

"The key to success for democracy lies in good governance...Democracy is the most important fundamental principle of the Constitution. Constitution gives us the freedom to elect government through our votes and decide who we give the power to. For Delhi, this Republic Day is of special importance. A few days from today, we will elect our new government," LG VK Saxena while extending his Republic Day wishes.
