Patna, Sept. 7 -- Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Choudhary on Sunday condemned the alleged vandalism of the stone plaque at the Hazratbal shrine in Jammu and Kashmir, stressing that the Ashoka Chakra stands as a symbol of India's faith and unity.
Speaking to ANI, Choudhary said, "This is very unfortunate because the Ashoka Chakra represents our country's faith and unity...No religion teaches us to do this. Every religion teaches us that there should be unity in the country... Action should be taken against this."
Earlier, a video of the alleged vandalism also went viral on social media.
The Hazratbal Shrine is a revered religious site in Srinagar, housing the holy relic of the Prophet Mohammad.
