New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda on Thursday took a jibe at the Mamata Banerjee led West Bengal government over the alleged attack on the West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari's convoy in Cooch Beehar by goons of the Trinamool Congress Party stating that it wasn't just an attack on an elected representative, but on the democracy itself.

Adhikari on Tuesday alleged that his convoy was attacked in Cooch Behar district, and claimed the situation was grave enough that he might not have survived had he not been travelling in a bulletproof vehicle.
