Kolkata, May 31 -- Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) West Bengal President Sukanta Majumdar launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging corruption within the state police and predicting the BJP's victory in the 2026 assembly elections.

Commenting on Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to West Bengal, Majumdar said Shah's presence would send a strong message to the Chief Minister of Bengal.

"Only those who have been reached, our leaders from different levels, will come. When Amit Shah roars from here, it will bring tremors to the CM's residence," Majumdar told ANI after Shah arrived in Kolkata for his two-day visit.
