Lucknow, June 15 -- Congress leader Surendra Rajput on Sunday took a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, saying the government is hosting events to hand out appointment letters instead of creating new jobs. Rajput compared Shah's actions to those of a postman and criticised the government's employment record.
Speaking to ANI, Rajput said, "There are over 1.9 lakh vacancies in the police force alone, and lakhs of other positions remain unfilled--whether for teachers or lab assistants. Instead of creating new jobs, the government is merely distributing appointment letters for posts that have already been filled. Uttar Pradesh is struggling with unemployment, Amit Shah ji."
