Jaipur, March 29 -- Rajasthan Minister Jogaram Patel on Saturday lashed out at All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi over his remarks on National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders amid ongoing controversy over the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, saying that these amendments were being brought for the security of Waqf properties.

"His statement is completely condemnable. The names that he has taken are the leaders who support NDA. These amendments are being brought for the security of the Waqf properties...These amendments in the Waqf Bill are the need of the hour," Patel told ANI.
