Bengaluru, Nov. 18 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday said the Bengaluru Tech Summit has once again demonstrated the city's importance in the global technology landscape, with delegations from nearly 60 countries participating in this year's edition.

Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar expressed satisfaction over the enthusiasm shown by international companies and industry leaders.

"I am very happy as the Karnataka government is organising the Bengaluru Tech Summit... Around 60 countries have participated today and they are all looking at Bengaluru. More than 25 lakh IT professionals are working here... All the world leaders want to invest in Bengaluru," he said.
