Rishikesh, April 15 -- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday asserted that his government aims to establish at least one medical college in every district and expand Jan Aushadi Kendras in the state.

Addressing the 5th convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, Dhami highlighted developments in the country's healthcare sector in the last decade.

"We are constructing new medical colleges with the aim of establishing a medical college in every district and expanding the network of Jan Aushadi Kendras in the state. More than 14 lakh people in the state have been treated under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. More than 5000 gram sabha of Uttarakhand have become TB-free," said the Uttarakhand CM.
