Chennai, July 19 -- DMK Spokesperson TKS Elangovan on Saturday hit out at AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, accusing his party of always being anti-farmer in the past.

TKS Elangovan said that whatever Edappadi speaks will be considered a lie by the people, and this will benefit DMK.

"DMK is the only party in all of India that gave free electricity to the farmers to pump water and it is a great support to farmers... It also strongly opposed the 3 bills brought by the BJP in the Parliament against farmers but the AIADMK supported it instead. AIADMK has always been against farmers... Whatever Edappadi speaks will be considered a lie by the people and this will benefit DMK," the DMK Spokesperson said.
