Chandigarh, March 20 -- Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Thursday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, accusing them of failing to fulfill their promises to farmers. Majithia pointed out that before coming to power, AAP had made numerous commitments to farmers, but none of them have been met.
This comes after the AAP government in Punjab removed protesting farmers on Wednesday night from the Shambu and Khanauri borders. Punjab Police also removed temporary structures erected by farmers at the protest site. Several farmer leaders including farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal who is on an indefinite fast and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha leader Sarvan Singh Pandher were detained by the Police.
