Indore, April 18 -- Following violence erupting in Murshidabad, West Bengal during Waqf protests, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Friday that any state government which is "unable to ensure peace in the state does not have the right to stay in power."
"A state government which cannot ensure peace in the state does not have the right to stay in power," Union Minister Scindia told reporters in Indore while reacting to violence in Murshidabad.
Earlier today, describing the recent episodes of violence in the Murshidabad and Malda districts as a "dance of death", West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, while condemning the act, said that such violence cannot be tolerated.
