Kallakurichi, May 27 -- All India Anna Dravid Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday asserted that the 2026 Assembly elections would mark the end of "hereditary politics" in Tamil Nadu, adding that Chief Minister MK Stalin's dream of what he described as "family rule" would remain a "mirage".

EPS also claimed that the Dravid Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is rattled by the growing opposition alliance.

"Family rule and hereditary rule are taking place in Tamil Nadu. 2026 will be the election that will put an end to hereditary politics. Stalin's dream will be a mirage and a daydream. As long as AIADMK exists, Stalin's dream will not come true...You cannot bear the fact that an alliance (with the BJP) has be...
