Indore, Jan. 4 -- Indore District Magistrate Shivam Verma on Sunday said that a total of 149 people are receiving treatment at the hospital due to the contaminated water in the Bhagirathpura area.

Verma added that mild symptoms, including vomiting, were reported in 65 people, of whom 17 were admitted after authorities surveyed more than 5,000 homes in the affected area.

"Yesterday, we surveyed more than 5000 homes, and mild symptoms like vomiting were reported in 65 people, of whom 17 were admitted. A total of 149 people are receiving treatment at the hospital...We are ensuring that proper treatment is being provided to them," Shivam Verma said.
