Medan, Nov. 13 -- The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) chapter in North Sumatra affirmed that the suicide bomber, who afflicted injuries on six people, "has no religion" since no religion preaches hurting others or committing suicide.

"To this end, MUI Sumut (North Sumatra) expects relevant parties to desist from giving any comment on the perpetrator and his motive before any factual corroboration," Ardiansyah, general secretary of the MUI Sumut, stated here on Wednesday.

Ardiansyah is optimistic that the background and motives of the perpetrator would be brought to light in the presence of accurate facts.
