Jakarta, Feb. 29 -- Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that primary health care is the closest health service for society, so it must focus on maintaining health instead of treating sick people.

"Staying healthy is not curative but promotive. We have forgotten to stay healthy. We are more concerned about treating sick people," Sadikin noted in a statement from his office on Wednesday.

Sadikin affirmed that by maintaining their health, people will lead a better quality of life and be more productive. Moreover, Indonesia will enter the peak of the demographic bonus in 2030.
