Jakarta, Sept. 26 -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has called to give top priority to endeavors to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, including increasing the discipline of citizens in applying health protocols.

"Once again, I reiterate that handling health problems is crucial and more importantly is preventing disease transmission," Jokowi stated at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, on Saturday, while delivering remarks during the opening of the fourth Conference of the Indonesian Muslim Brotherhood via video teleconference.

"I urge all parties to stay disciplined in implementing health protocols, so that transmission can be suppressed and people's lives can run normally again," the president stated.
