Jakarta, Dec. 2 -- Indonesia's inflation rate swelled 0.14 percent in November 2019, triggered by commodity price hikes following a surge in demand ahead of Christmas 2019 and New Year's Eve 2020 celebrations, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) remarked.

"The movement of the consumer price index (in November) remained same as that of the previous month. It rose in November and is expected to increase higher in December 2019 along with preparations for Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations," BPS Chief Suhariyanto stated in Jakarta on Monday.
