Jakarta, March 21 -- Two members of the North Sumatra Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) for the 2009-2014 period were granted six years in prison and two others four years in prison because it was proved they had received bribes from former North Sumatra Governor Gatot Pujo Nugroho.

The four members were Arifin Nainggolan (Democratic faction), Mustofawaiyah (Democratic faction), Sopar Siburian (Democratic Party faction) and Analystman Zalukhu (PDI-P faction).

"It was proved that the defendants had legally and convincingly committed criminal acts of corruption together, imposing imprisonment on Defendant 1 Arifin Nainggolan and Defendant 2 Mustofawaiyah of six years plus a fine of Rp. 700 million, or six months imprisonment," said Nanang...
