Jakarta, Aug. 16 -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has encouraged Indonesia to produce palm oil-based aviation fuel to make it no longer rely on imported avtur.
"We have produced avtur and we don't need to import now. If possible, we will export avtur. We have to produce palm oil-based avtur," Jokowi said in his state address before members of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) here on Friday.
The President arrived at the parliament complex at 9.55 a.m. local time, wearing Sasak traditional costume. He was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo who wore white traditional costume and batik shawl.
