Badung, Bali, Jan. 21 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has set a target of gaining one million to 1.5 million arrivals of tourists from China in 2024, according to an official from the ministry.

The tourist arrivals are expected to provide an equal distribution of tourism benefits in Indonesia.

"Last year, we targeted 361 thousand Chinese tourists, and we achieved 707 thousand. This year, we increase the target to 1 million-1.5 million," the ministry's Regional I Director of Tourism Marketing Wisnu Sindhutrisno said in Badung, Bali, on Saturday (January 20).
