Jakarta, Sept. 8 -- Indonesia's Task Force for COVID-19 Response on Tuesday reported that 2,306 COVID-19 patients recovered in the last 24 hours in the country, bringing the total number of recoveries to 142,958 so far.

The country added 3,046 fresh infections, which took the total COVID-19 case count to 200,035. Meanwhile, with 100 patients dying of the novel coronavirus disease, the death toll reached 8,230, the task force said here on Tuesday.

Jakarta recorded the highest spike in the number of recoveries at 929, and added 1,014 fresh cases and 21 deaths.

East Java province reported 342 new recoveries, 401 fresh cases, and 32 deaths.

The province of Central Java added 148 recoveries, 237 new cases, and six deaths.
