Pangkalpinang, April 19 -- The Home Affairs Ministry commended the people in Bangka Belitung Islands Province for turning up in high numbers to vote in the 2019 presidential election and holding the democratic fiesta peacefully.

"I echo the home affairs minister's message due to the strong participation of Babylonians to exercise their right to vote. On an average, all of Indonesia, it is 80 percent," Didik Suprayinto remarked on Friday.

Suprayinto noted that the Home Affairs Ministry had also lauded all ranks of the military (TNI), police (Polri), Civil service police Unit (satpol PP), and Community Protection (Linmas) as well as those toiling to ensure the smooth, safe, and peaceful implementation of the 2019 elections.
