Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized the United Nations' (UN's) role in today's circumstances wherein conflicts persist, especially amid hardships in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, affirming that "no one is safe until everyone is".

The head of state drew attention to several disputes ongoing across the world, whilst poverty and hunger also linger on. The principles recorded in the UN Charter and international law are frequently overlooked, including on matters of territorial sovereignty and integrity.
