Garut, April 28 -- The 6.5-magnitude earthquake that jolted Garut District, West Java Province, on Saturday (April 27) evening, has resulted in at least 41 damaged houses, according to the district's Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD).

"Based on latest reports, the earthquake damaged 41 houses and one health facility, namely Pameungpeuk Hospital," Head of Garut BPBD Aah Anwar Saefuloh remarked in Garut on Sunday.

In response to the disaster, he noted that the BPBD and relevant institutions immediately deployed personnel to monitor affected areas, and found four injured people in the process.
