Jakarta, July 6 -- The Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA- CEPA) took effect on Sunday (July 5), Indonesia's Trade Minister, Agus Suparmanto, noted in a statement here on Monday.

Under the agreement, virtually all Indonesian exports to Australia will face zero tariffs.

"The hard work and efforts put in by the two governments during the process of negotiation and ratification have paid off. Business operators and stakeholders in Indonesia can now benefit from the IA-CEPA," Suparmanto remarked.
