Jakarta, Sept. 8 -- Employees of the East Jakarta municipal government, dressed in hazmat suits, paraded a coffin around the Cakung densely populated area on Tuesday to remind residents of the dangers of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The parade is part of the endeavors to uphold discipline among local residents to wear face masks while venturing outdoors during the COVID-19 pandemic

"Since the transitional period of large-scale social restrictions was eased, new clusters of COVID-19 were found in densely populated areas. We have made efforts to remind the public (of the dangers of COVID-19), so the number of new cases will decline," Achmad Salahuddin, the Cakung sub-district head, stated.
