Jakarta, April 16 -- The Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) forecast that the Surigae Tropical Cyclone will affect weather conditions in parts of Indonesia in the next 24 hours when the cyclone moves away from the Indonesian territory.

On the basis of a BMKG press release here on Friday, the Surigae Tropical Cyclone is expected to move westward, with increasing intensity in the next 24 hours.

According to the BMKG analysis, the Surigae Cyclone was detected at 7:00 WIB in the Pacific Ocean, north of West Papua, some 1,070 kilometers north of Manokwari.
