Purwokerto, Nov. 12 -- Flowers of the "stinky" elephant foot yam of the Amorphophallus paeoniifolius species were found growing in the house yard in Banyumas, Central Java, which house owner, Imanudin, had noticed on Monday evening, November 11.

"It was yesterday evening when I recognized the stinky smell of carrion and was checking to find out where it originated from until I found the flowers, with many green flies around," Imanudin stated at his house, Tuesday.

However, Imanudin assumed that the flowers of family Araceae had been growing there since long before he finally spotted them.

Its height is some 50 centimeters, with 25 centimeters of corolla, while the diameter extends to 60 centimeters.
