India, Oct. 7 -- As the Bihar assembly elections approach, popular folk singer Maithili Thakur has hinted at entering politics, expressing her willingness to contest from her hometown Benipatti in Madhubani district.

Thakur recently met BJP national general secretary and Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde along with Union Minister Nityanand Rai, sparking strong speculation about her possible induction into the Bharatiya Janata Party and candidature from Benipatti.
