India, March 13 -- Twenty-one passengers and four paramilitary soldiers were killed when militants hijacked a train in Pakistan's Balochistan, triggering a high-intensity military operation that ended with the army eliminating all 33 insurgents.
Pakistan Army spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif confirmed the successful completion of the operation, stating that security forces had neutralized the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack. Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar echoed this, declaring that all militants who had taken passengers hostage had been "eliminated."
