India, June 3 -- In a bold political move, 16 opposition parties have united to demand a special session of Parliament to discuss Operation Sindoor and the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. The demand was formally made through a joint letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following a high-level INDIA bloc meeting held in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Senior leaders from the Congress, Trinamool Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party, and Shiv Sena (UBT) were present at the meeting. Among the signatories of the letter are Congress' Jairam Ramesh and Deependra Hooda, TMC's Derek O'Brien, SP's Ramgopal Yadav, RJD's Manoj Jha, and Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Sanjay Raut.
