India, March 7 -- Maharashtra's economy is projected to grow at 7.3% in 2024-25, outpacing India's expected 6.5% growth, according to the state's pre-Budget Economic Survey tabled in the Assembly on Friday. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who also holds the finance portfolio, presented the report, highlighting Maharashtra's continued dominance as the largest contributor to India's GDP.

The survey estimates sector-wise growth rates at 8.7% for agriculture and allied activities, 4.9% for industry, and 7.8% for the services sector.
