India, Oct. 8 -- Four workers lost their lives and six others were injured after a lift crashed from a significant height at a power plant in Chhattisgarh's Sakti district, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

The incident occurred late Tuesday night at RKM Powergen Pvt Ltd's facility in Dabhra, located in Ucchpinda village of Sakti district. According to Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, ten workers were inside the lift, descending after completing their routine work, when it suddenly plummeted to the ground.
