India, April 4 -- The University of Hyderabad Students' Union (UoHSU) has called off its indefinite protest and class boycott against the Telangana government's plan to develop a 400-acre land parcel near the university campus. The decision came after the Supreme Court intervened on Thursday, staying any further activity on the land until further orders.
The protest, which began on April 1, was aimed at halting the government's project in Kancha Gachibowli, citing ecological concerns. Following the Supreme Court's stay, students resumed attending classes on Friday, UoHSU Vice President Akash Kumar confirmed.
