India, June 11 -- Gujarat has recorded over 1,200 active COVID-19 cases, prompting state Health Minister Rushikesh Patel to urge citizens to take precautionary measures, especially those experiencing symptoms such as cold, cough, or throat pain. Although the recent spike is attributed to a milder Omicron sub-variant, the health department is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with the Union government.
