India, April 15 -- More than a year after India's fight against COVID-19 began, the virus is spreading faster than ever before and appalling stories of distress are being reported from across the country. The pandemic has disturbed the lives of everyone, especially the most vulnerable section of our society. Teachers have had to undergo salary cuts, many parents have not been able to pay the school fees due to job losses. For low-income households, the challenge is accentuated further.
