India, March 7 -- The Telangana Congress government has announced plans to convene an all-party meeting on the delimitation of parliamentary constituencies, citing concerns that the state may face injustice in the process.

After a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy accused the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre of using delimitation as a tool to discriminate against South India. He argued that the number of constituencies in southern states must increase proportionally to any rise in the north.
