India, Oct. 8 -- Assam Police DSP Sandipan Garg, cousin of late singer Zubeen Garg, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the singer's death in Singapore last month, a senior police official confirmed. This marks the fifth arrest in the ongoing investigation.

Earlier, the CID had detained North East India Festival chief organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta, the singer's manager Siddharth Sharma, and two of his band members, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amrit Prabha Mahanta, for questioning in the case.
